About Us

Our mission is: “That no partner or child of a deceased or former serving NSW Police Officer will ever feel forgotten or in need.”

We provide emotional and financial support to the partners and children of deceased Police Officers and currently support over 1,300 family members. We care for children as young as two and Widows as old as 102.

In 2007, NSW Police Legacy celebrated its 20th year of operation. From our humble beginnings in 1987, the organisation has grown to deliver a range of important, necessary and relevant services and programs to its members.

NSW Police Legacy is a registered charity and a not-for-profit organisation.

What We Do

We provide our Legatees with emotional and financial support. Our work includes assisting with grief and trauma counselling, managing children’s trust funds and raising funds to provide a range of educational and social activities for our members. In this way, we enable the partners and children of deceased Police Officers to stay in touch and share their experiences with others who have suffered in similar ways.
