A big thank you to everyone who participated in our first ever National Police Legacy Day on 17 June 2025. We were thrilled at how well it was embraced throughout all of Australia. Our Premier and the State of NSW supported Police Officers and their families through the wonderful display of the Police Daisy on the Sydney Opera House. There were morning teas and other fundraising events all over the state in police stations and commands.

It’s a sad fact that every year some of our Police Legatee kids age out of being eligible to attend the kids’ camps. It’s always a wrench for the young people who’ve grown up seeing their close friends twice a year in this way.
Crescent Head Memorial Walk

9 July 1995 is a day that looms large in Police and Police Legacy history, as the day that Senior Constables Peter Addison and Robert Spears tragically lost their lives in the line of duty. To honour the 30th anniversary of that day, Retired Detective Senior Constable Pat Gleeson undertook a10-day walk from Port Stephens to Crescent Head, fundraising for NSW Police Legacy along the way.
Going on an Adventure!

In July, for the first time since Covid came, we flew out of the country with 33 of our young NSW Police Legatees, and eight young AFP Legatees. For some of our kids it was their first time out of the country, and for four of our campers it was their first NSW Police Legacy camp, so as you can imagine, the excitement levels were high!
