National Police Legacy Day

We’re thrilled to have you with us for the start of a new tradition: 17 June 2025 will be the first National Police Legacy Day. Police Legacies have been supporting Police Families across Australia for 54 years, and now we are coming together nationally to honour this legacy of care. On 17 June this year - and all years going forward - we will honour all police who serve our community, and the families who uphold their memory with strength and pride.

As usual we have hit the New Year running, hosting the under-18 Camp at Milson Island on the Hawkesbury River. Despite all the COVID precautions that needed to be taken to ensure the safety of our legatees, they all enjoyed the activities and renewed their friendships.

Tara's Gift Scholarship Winner

The winner of the Tara’s Gift award this year is Ainsley Baker. The Award honours the memory of Tara Tobin, a respected Police Officer, Board Member, and volunteer (who served several times as a Camp Supervisor), and is awarded for leadership on camp.

Reuniting Memories

When the National Police Memorial in Canberra was commemorated on Police Remembrance Day 29 September 2006, duplicates were made of the touchstones that were placed there. NSW Police Legacy has had these entrusted into our care, and we are now beginning the process of returning them to their families.
