We’re thrilled to have you with us for the start of a new tradition: 17 June 2025 is the first National Police Legacy Day. Police Legacies have been supporting Police Families across Australia for 54 years, and now we are coming together nationally to honour this legacy of care. On 17 June this year - and all years going forward - we will honour all police who serve our community, and the families who uphold their memory with strength and pride.

Matthew Botfield’s Recovery

Some heartening news for you all: in August last year we launched an appeal after Snr Cst Matthew Botfield fell from a ladder, sustaining severe traumatic brain injuries. He is now well on the way to recovery.

NSW Police Legacy is extraordinarily grateful to the Association St. Sebasian Martyr of Cerami (Enna), who in late December presented our Vice-Chair Sgt Craig Partridge with a cheque for $30,000 to support our Police Legatees.
International Police Association

We are delighted to have the support of the International Police Association (IPA) NSW Region. The IPA is a non-political association of police from all around the world, with nearly 360,000 members in nearly 100 countries.
