April 2021
On Friday 26 March, at Doltone House on the historic Jones Bay Wharf, we welcomed around 300 guests from the business community to the Blue Ribbon Leadership Dinner. This was a chance for people to come together and listen as Commissioner Michael Fuller APM gave an insightful and candid speech about the challenges of leadership that the year 2020 presented to the NSW Police Force, and a chance for attendees to have all their leadership questions answered.
It was also a chance for people to hear Police Legatee Kath Ward tell her story of loss, and of connection with the Police Legacy family, and for the audience to understand the importance of the work we do. We thank both her and The Commissioner for their generosity, and their openness with our very appreciative audience. We also thank Simon Bouda for navigating us skilfully through the evening in his capacity as MC, and our charity partner Police Bank for their support of this event.
The event was a great success as a fundraiser for the Police Family, and also as a way of further spreading our message to the business community. And as much as we enjoyed the novelty of running a Dinner like this, we also look forward to returning to the traditional Blue Ribbon Ball format in March 2022. By then we'll all be ready for a dance or two!
