Christmas Luncheon 2019

November 2019

The NSW Police Legacy Christmas Luncheon has been held for more than twenty years. It’s a tradition that gives our Police Legatees the opportunity to connect with old friends and make new ones, and offers hope to those who have lost a partner or a child. Each year we are joined by the Police Commissioner and the Minister for Police and Emergency Services, who attend in support of our Legatees.

In attendance this year we one of our oldest and our youngest Police Legatees – Elise Baldwin (100 years old) and Dexter Proctor (4 months old), bringing both joy and tears into the room.

In 2019, three awards were presented. The Bill Crews Scholarship, worth $6,000 and awarded to ease some of the financial burden associated with training as a NSW Police Officer, was presented to Emily Sims (2019) and Georgia Spooner (2018). The final award was given to Chief Inspector Paul Martin, who was awarded Life Membership of NSW Police Legacy for his years of dedicated service.
