This issue we extend a warm welcome to Tegan Kanard, our new Community Support Manager. Some of you may have met her already, but if not, we’re sure you’ll see her around at one of our events – she has made it her mission to get at least one Social Connection Lunch in each area by the end of the year!
Tegan loves travelling, socialising, yoga, hockey, weightlifting, and reading. She grew up in Cronulla, and, after a stint of travelling, still lives in Sutherland Shire. She is a registered Counsellor, and has worked in the child protection and foster care fields before moving to the military’s Legacy, and now Police Legacy.
“I have loved meeting some of the legatees and I’m excited to meet everyone! The camp in the Northern Territory was amazing and showed me just how connected our young legatees are to each other; their courage, kinship and also their willingness to get out of their comfort zones.”
(Editor’s note: We know. It’s confusing. Please don’t confuse the lovely Tegan (T2) with the other lovely Teegan (T1), our Community Fundraising Coordinator, who has been with us for many years now!)
