BACKUP for Life: Psychotherapist Ernst Meyer

Ernst Meyer is new to the BACKUP for Life team. His role is to assist with counselling and referral for former officers and their families in need of assistance.

He is originally from Bavaria (Germany) and has lived in Sydney for more than 20 years. Prior to moving to Australia he had a 15-year career in the German Federal Police Force and the Bavarian State Police Force. His contemporary body-inclusive approach to psychotherapy is informed by trauma research, neuroscience, infant research, and psychoanalytic theories. He is working in private practice in the Sydney CBD and the Hills District.
